Industria Metalli operated a die casting foundry with an area of 8,000 sq.m.

The plants and technical solution applied respect the latest environment and safety regulation, as was built recently.

• Industria Metalli has a casting capacity of 3 tons/hour thanks to 4 gas melting furnaces, ensuring the possibility to cast simultaneously different aluminium alloys;
• All castings parts can be traced and submitted to degassing process using new-generation equipment and an advanced alloy de-oxidation system;

• Our die casting department allows us to guarantee our customers a complete range of products. The die casting department is provided with a wide range of machines with a clamping force from 700 to 3300 tons, operated by robots for shearing and trimming;
• The XRP system allows each die casting machine to get data which, through a batch identification system that allows real-time control;
• Each die casting machine is provided with integrated SPC Software for process control management and die-casting process parameters monitoring.

The prototype is defined during the co-design stage with the customer team, following the most innovative technical solutions developed by experience.

Our extensive experience has tought us to dedicate great attention to the use of materials and advanced surface treatments, needed to guarantee the overall performance of the product and production process.

Our projects are carried out complying the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) method according to standard ISO TS 16949:

• Co-design: customer support, integrating traditional scheduling with advanced simulation techniques;

• Casting process simulation: mass flow analysis, thermal profile, solidification profile map, first filling analysis (Software: PRO-CAST, PRO-E and tools such as UG, CATIA, AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS for 3D modelling);
• Planning and dynamic control of project development status;
• Flexibility in die design, assure the possibility to run on different die casting machine, to guarantee prodactivity, the company has its own tool department with all the necessary equipment and experienced staff who can provide dies maintenance and quick modifications.
